QUEEN
Queen was a British rock band formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury, Brian May, and Roger Taylor, later joined by John Deacon . Their earliest works were influenced by rock, hard rock, and heavy metal, but after that it turned to conventional and radio-friendly songs by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock. In 2023 Queen won thel Brit Billion Award from (BPI). Their best song is “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Bohemian Rhapsody was written in 1975 by Freddie Mercury. This song topped the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks (plus another five weeks following Mercury's death in 1991) and remains the UK's third best-selling single of all time. In 1991 the band was dissolved due to Freddie Mercury’s death. Brian May y Roger Taylor keep working and playing music in other projects.
Their style is quite simple and very fashionable. They used to wear outfits that combined. However, sometimes Fredy Mercury appeared with clothes that stood out a lot like a yellow, patterned, leather jacket or a very tight, shiny red, leather trousers. The other members of the grup used to wear basic, white, plain, cotton t-shirts and quite baggy denim jeans. They wouldn't use any kind of jewllery like rings, expensive clocks..etc. Nowadays no one dresses like them and their style is unique.

"I WANT TO BREAK FREE"
My favourite song from Queen is “I want to break free”. This song was written in 1984 and it’s part of the album “the works”. The song, as the titol says, talks about beeing free and doing what you really enjoy about life. The videoclip became very famous and controversial because the members of the band appear dressed as women, cleaning the house, doing the dishes..etc. I love the lyrics. However, the thing I like the most is the videoclip and the way it criticises the sexist society where they had to live.
